We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse, ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks, and contributing to overall operational efficiency. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and must be able to adapt to changing priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets and other materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Perform regular equipment checks to ensure safe operation and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Accurately pick and place inventory in designated locations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE .
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Support other warehouse operations as required.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
