Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas, ensuring proper placement.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counting and stock taking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support the overall logistics flow by ensuring timely and accurate material movement.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding material handling.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work culture.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 pounds, as needed.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
