We are recruiting for an Inventory Control Specialist in our Richmond, Virginia warehouse. This role is vital for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the integrity of our stock. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize inventory loss. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and reduce loss.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with other departments, including receiving and shipping, to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory to maintain product quality.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and company policies.
- Proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- May involve some manual Lifting of up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Understanding of logistics operations and inventory best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of Safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
- Comfort with basic data entry and report generation.
