Solutions Architect - Cloud Management . In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in influencing sales and customer adoption of Nutanix solutions and products. Your ability to connect the dots between customer-specific business challenges and Nutanix's solutions, while effectively communicating this vision to both technical and executive audiences, will set you apart. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will not only build demos and oversee proofs-of-concept (POC) but also provide essential guidance on architecture and implementation. This position holds significant impact and visibility within the organization, representing the apex of Systems Engineering. Your success will rely on your solid technical background and your capacity to convey complex information with clarity and confidence. About the Team Our Systems Engineering & Solution Sales organization includes over 800 dedicated technical sales professionals who are focused on aligning technology opportunities with customer business needs and objectives. This team operates with a consultative approach and is highly regarded as an authority by Nutanix sales, customer success, business partners, and clients. Your Role Act as a key subject matter expert, influencing customer decisions to embrace Nutanix technologies.
Lead initiatives for customer adoption and ensure ongoing satisfaction with deployed solutions.
Demonstrate your passion for resolving complex operational challenges through automation.
Showcase Nutanix technologies and steer customer engagements from initial discussions through to decision-making.
Cultivate long-term relationships and position yourself as a trusted advisor within key accounts.
Deliver technical product and solution presentations and training sessions for customers, partners, and sales teams as required.
Install, support, and maintain Nutanix solutions throughout proof-of-concept deployments.
Provide strategic insights to influence Nutanix's go-to-market strategies based on feedback from sales and customer interactions regarding current and future product needs.
Continuously enhance your expertise by keeping abreast of industry trends relevant to your domain.
What You Will Bring 10+ years of experience in IT Operations, DevOps, or technical sales with a strong track record of driving technology adoption.
Extensive experience with Public Cloud solutions, particularly AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Proficient in scripting and coding in languages such as Python, Java, Go, or NodeJS, coupled with Linux administration.
Deep understanding of containers and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes, Mesos, DC/OS, Swarm, and OpenShift.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, and Terraform.
A background in managing large environments with RDBMS, EDW, and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk and ELK.
Knowledge of IT finance fundamentals, including ROI and TCO discussions regarding public cloud expenditures.
A self-starter attitude that thrives in a dynamic technology landscape.
The ability to excel in a fast-paced, adaptive setting, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive sales through both top-down and bottom-up approaches.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, alongside a strong organizational mindset and attention to detail.
Solid experience with technical discovery and proposal processes, including understanding customer requirements and navigating objections.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, complemented by refined presentation capabilities.
Willingness to travel within the United States as necessitated by the role.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
The expected salary range for this position at the start of employment is between USD $165,600 and USD $248,400 per year. Actual base pay may vary depending on various factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role may offer a total compensation package that includes additional elements like a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick leave, and parental leave benefits.
