Join our dynamic team as an Inbound Material Handler, where you will be an essential part of our operations. Your role will involve the proper handling of incoming products to ensure our inventory is accurate and readily available. Embrace best practices in all tasks to contribute to our success. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain safety standards while operating and proactively identify unsafe practices and situations. Unload a variety of merchandise from trailers, containers, and trucks effectively. Verify skid or box counts against Proof of Delivery documentation, documenting any discrepancies. Place skids in designated areas near the dock, remove packing lists, and report any Vendor Compliance issues. Receive products on assigned batches, including stock from vendors, store returns, and small package shipments. Accurately store products in various locations, utilizing appropriate powered equipment when necessary. Investigate discrepancies, make necessary corrections, and ensure the batch is closed to release products to inventory. Follow instructions to retrieve products from reserve locations and manage product storage efficiently. Experienced team members may also take on trainer responsibilities, ensuring all training is delivered on schedule and documentation is thorough. Perform all other duties as assigned. SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Required: Basic computer skills. Ability to complete and pass a company-standardized test. Effective collaboration in a team environment. Able to quickly and accurately read and match numerical and alphabetical characters. Desired: High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Experience in a warehouse environment, especially with alphanumeric or RF directed stocking. Familiarity with automotive parts. Advanced computer skills.
