Job Description: The EMT/PCP Coordinator is an integral member and leader for front line staff, coordinating operational resources effectively and efficiently, ensuring established policies, procedures, and work standards are followed, as well as ongoing mentoring and coaching of personnel. As a member of the front line team, the MET/PCP Coordinator is responsible for scene management and support to patients, families and staff. The EMT/PCP Coordinator reports to the Manager. They may also provide occasional support or input on provincial initiatives.
Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician Coordinator $32.302 to $39.497

Experience

  • Minimum of two years' experience as a practicing Primary Care Paramedic. 

Education

  • Primary Care Paramedic certificate or equiv. education acceptable to employer

Licenses

  • Valid Class 4 driver's license

  • Supervisory skills
  • Interpersonal skills

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing workload
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System.
  • Knowledge of legislation, protocols & scope of practice applicable to EMS in SK

Other Information

  • Unrestricted practicing license with Sask College of Paramedics at the PCP level
  • Experience coordinating, and facilitating adult education is an asset.
  • Be physically fit and able to perform duties as outlined
