Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming materials from various transportation modes.
  • Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
  • Operate and maintain material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all regulations.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Assist with other general warehouse duties as needed to support logistics operations.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a related warehouse role is preferred.
  • Must be capable of frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics setting.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
  • Good communication skills.

Working Conditions:
The Material Handler role requires significant physical exertion, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying. Work is performed in a warehouse environment which may have varying temperatures. Strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of provided PPE, is essential for maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
