Seeking an experienced Receiving Clerk for our Colorado Springs, Colorado location. This pivotal role ensures that all incoming goods are accurately documented, inspected, and processed efficiently. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for inbound logistics, managing the crucial initial stages of our supply chain. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying packing slips against received items, identifying discrepancies, and properly staging goods for internal distribution. A strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and organization is essential. We provide a supportive work environment and ensure all necessary safety equipment, including PPE, is available and utilized. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Verify quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Identify and report any damaged or missing items.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label incoming stock appropriately.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Support the overall logistics and warehouse management team.
- Perform other receiving and warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and receiving procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and correct PPE usage.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
