Join our dynamic team as a Distribution Center Associate in Omaha, Nebraska! This role is crucial to the success of our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods from receipt to shipment. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will perform a variety of tasks within the warehouse, contributing to the overall productivity and accuracy of our fulfillment process. Your responsibilities may include receiving incoming shipments, inspecting goods for quality and accuracy, stocking inventory in designated locations, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments for outbound transport. This position requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. We value our employees and provide comprehensive training on all equipment and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to handle physical tasks, including significant lifting and standing, is essential. A solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory.
- Sort and store inventory accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick items for orders using RF scanners and other equipment.
- Pack orders carefully and efficiently for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and other inventory control activities.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow safety guidelines.
- Basic math and reading skills.
Physical Demands: This role involves frequent standing, walking, squatting, bending, and lifting. Employees must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
