Our dynamic logistics company in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is fundamental to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and reconciling inventory discrepancies, and assisting with overall inventory management processes. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work closely with various departments to ensure stock accuracy and contribute to operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory data within the WMS.
- Process inventory adjustments and transfers.
- Identify and report on slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged stock.
- Collaborate with receiving and shipping teams to ensure accurate inventory flow.
- Ensure proper organization and labeling of inventory within the warehouse.
- Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and report findings to management.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of inventory control processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with WMS software is a strong plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of Safety best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
