Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. This role is essential for the efficiency of our logistics operations, ensuring that stock levels are correct and that inventory discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly. You will be responsible for conducting regular physical counts, reconciling inventory data, and assisting with the implementation of inventory control procedures. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to record-keeping, and a commitment to upholding the integrity of our inventory. This position requires a proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively with the warehouse team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
- Record inventory data accurately in the inventory management system.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock items to management.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate inventory recording.
- Generate inventory reports as required for analysis and decision-making.
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with the logistics and warehouse teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Good communication skills.
