We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This involves conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to prevent future stock issues. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to ensure optimal inventory levels, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency within our logistics framework. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, and contribute to a culture of safety awareness. This role demands a commitment to accuracy and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities include managing stock rotation, monitoring expiration dates, and ensuring that all inventory is properly stored and accounted for. This is a key position for maintaining smooth operations and supporting our logistics operations. Experience with inventory management software is a plus. This role may involve some Lifting of inventory items.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the system.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Track and manage returned items.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
- Assist in maintaining the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations is beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper PPE usage.
