We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage operations at our Huntsville, Alabama facility. This leadership role is essential for ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods within our logistics network. You will be responsible for supervising warehouse staff, optimizing workflow, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will play a key role in maintaining productivity, efficiency, and a positive team environment. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and ensure all team members are trained on and utilize appropriate PPE. This role may involve occasional lifting and moving of materials. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities and staff.
- Oversee inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and shipping.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows.
- Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and regulations, including proper PPE usage.
- Train and mentor warehouse personnel on best practices.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure operational readiness.
- Optimize space utilization and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
- Coordinate with transportation and other departments to ensure smooth logistics.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Handle any operational issues or emergencies that arise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to develop and implement operational plans.
- Knowledge of safety standards and experience with PPE.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to occasionally perform lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
