Are you a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator looking for a new challenge? We are hiring experienced operators to join our busy warehouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and transporting goods throughout the warehouse. A keen understanding of forklift operation, warehouse safety procedures, and inventory management is essential. Your ability to navigate a dynamic logistics environment while prioritizing Safety will be key to your success. We are committed to providing a secure workplace, and adherence to all safety guidelines is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, including manual Lifting.
- Participate in ongoing training related to equipment operation and Safety.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control is a plus.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
