Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory management in our Dallas, Texas facility. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of our stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing inventory flow within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a comprehensive understanding of inventory control principles and best practices. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce losses. Your role will directly impact our operational costs and customer satisfaction by ensuring product availability and accuracy. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock rotation to prevent obsolescence and overstocking.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Coordinate with purchasing, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Implement and enforce strict safety guidelines for inventory handling and storage.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment related to inventory management.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and adjustments for management review.
  • Manage the return process and ensure proper disposition of returned goods.
  • Ensure all team members are trained on and follow proper procedures, including the use of PPE .
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management software and WMS.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work with data and perform detailed analysis.
  • Experience with physical inventory counts and cycle counting methodologies.
  • Understanding of logistics principles and warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
  • Experience with lifting and moving inventory as required by the role.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE as required by company policy.
