We're expanding our team in Miami, Florida, and seeking a diligent Material Handler! This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the movement, storage, and organization of materials. You will be involved in receiving goods, managing inventory, and ensuring materials are ready for shipment. A commitment to Safety and efficiency is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Organize inventory within the warehouse, ensuring correct placement and stock rotation.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including staging and loading onto trucks.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Conduct daily equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Must be able to handle frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
- A strong emphasis on workplace Safety and attention to potential hazards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
