We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy distribution center in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to support all warehouse functions. This includes moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your daily tasks will involve loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods within the facility, and assisting with inventory management. Safety is our top priority, and all employees are required to strictly adhere to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a hazard-free work environment. Experience with various types of forklifts and a solid understanding of warehouse logistics are essential. The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including significant lifting (up to 50 lbs), is a requirement. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve goods.
- Load and unload materials from trailers.
- Transport products between different warehouse areas.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Proper use of PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Certified forklift operator or ability to obtain certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Commitment to wearing PPE and following safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
