AnthroMed Education is partnering with a high school in Chicago to welcome a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a great opportunity for an SLP seeking a consistent *three-day-per-week schedule* while working with adolescents in a collaborative, school-based setting.
You’ll support a manageable high school caseload with a strong emphasis on social communication and pragmatic language skills, particularly for students with Autism.
What You’ll Do
* Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students in grades 9–12
* Support social communication, pragmatic language, and functional communication skills
* Group students as appropriate for social skills intervention
* Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
* Participate in IEP meetings as part of an interdisciplinary team
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation aligned with school and state requirements
Caseload Details
* Approximately 28 students (caseload may fluctuate as seniors graduate)
* Mix of direct service and consult-only students (approximately 11 consult)
* High school student population
* Strong focus on social skills and functional communication
* Onsite, part-time role
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
* Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License (IDFPR)
* Valid Illinois PEL with SLP Endorsement
* Experience working with adolescents preferred
* Experience supporting students with Autism a plus
* Strong collaboration and communication skills
