What you'll be doing

The Business Client Centre is responsible for providing service and support for existing clients on our product and service delivery channels. As a Governance/ Compliance Analyst, your mandate will be to support operational activities and programs to assure compliance, manage records and ensure collaboration with internal partners to drive practices that protect and manage our business processes. You will build, manage and support compliance and data governance capabilities within the team in order to ensure control requirements are implemented in alignment with enterprise standards.

How you'll succeed

  • Records Management: Ensure records are managed in line with enterprise guidelines and support the development of internal procedures to streamline record management operations within the team. Manage the implementation of BCC's Data Governance Program, including assessing operations, creating inventories and managing key processes, risks and controls.

  • Operational Excellence - Provide operational support to increase the efficiency of the department through research, analyzing specialized information and proactively adhering to internal risk guidelines and processes. Provide post-implementation operational support including problem resolution and enhancement and recommendations to ensure ongoing success. 

  • Risk Management - Identify potential issues that pose risk to CIBC; support complex issues; take action and contribute to resolution by working in collaboration with others.

  • Relationship Management- Confident working with stakeholders of varying levels, and ability to manage relationships across the organization with proven ability to build strong working partnerships focused on outcomes.
