The Opportunity
Innovate and Lead – In this role, you'll be at the forefront of commercial strategy for some of Ontario's most complex infrastructure projects. From bridges and highways to major transportation initiatives, you'll shape agreements that drive success and protect WSP's interests while enabling transformative outcomes for communities.
Your Impact
- Lead commercial negotiations for design and construction administration services across Bridges, Highways, Roads, and Major Projects.
- Develop and implement contracting strategies that mitigate risk and optimize financial performance.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure commercial integrity throughout project delivery, reducing margin erosion and claims.
- Champion change management processes and negotiate amendments, change orders, and dispute resolutions with tact and professionalism.
- Partner with internal teams (legal, risk, insurance, finance) to align commercial practices with WSP's strategic objectives.
- Drive excellence in project delivery and financial performance, ensuring commitments are met and profitability targets achieved.
- Share best practices nationally, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Promote WSP's safety and ethics programs as foundational elements of every project.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- More than 5 years of experience in commercial management within engineering or infrastructure sectors delivering large, complex projects.
- Proven ability to negotiate contract terms, manage risk, and resolve disputes across diverse delivery models.
- Knowledge of contract law, risk management, and cost control principles in the engineering industry.
- Strategic thinker with sound judgment and a reputation for integrity.
- Skilled at building consensus and managing relationships in a matrix environment.

Compensation:
- BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $162,200 – $212,200
- MB & ON: $148,000 – $198,000
- Atlantic Provinces & QC: $146,500 – $194,600
