Duties
Help
You will serve as a Graphic Designer and be responsible for the developing Coast Guard multimedia, audiovisual, graphics, photos, videos and digital products. Provides daily support for Coast Guard websites and social media channels and manages Coast Guard imagery (audio, video, stills, and graphics) collections, including cataloging, storage, and dissemination processes.

Develop high-quality, effective audiovisual and video products and graphics sufficient to allow the Coast Guard to address internal and public information needs. Serve as a source of technical information and advice on program or project issues that require assessment of unusual circumstances or variation in approach and development of new multimedia methods and criteria. Responsible for coordinating video and digital support for responses to media inquiries, relating to crisis operations with Headquarters, Regional, and District offices. Provide video and digital support for major press conferences and briefings; awards and ceremonies; training; television production; documentary videos; live webcasts; podcast; multimedia-based social medial channel, and other special programming for staff and the general public. Design and implement short and long-term strategies, objectives, and goals related to external and internal Service outreach efforts. Requirements

Qualifications
This position has an Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR): This position has an Education or General Experience Requirement in addition to at least one year of Specialized Experience in order to be found minimally qualified.

EDUCATION -
Undergraduate and Graduate Education:
Major study commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position.
or
Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis.
or
Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes planning the preparation and use of photographs, illustrations, drawings, and other artwork, charts, diagrams, dioramas, maps, slides, overlays, and other kinds of visual material for use in communicating information through visual means.
AND
To qualify at the GS-
12
grade level,
your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.
Develop a wide range of specialized video and photographic equipment techniques, and processes used for imagery and video
production; Ability to transfer video into various formats and edit video using software such as Final cut, Premiere and DVD authoring into a high-quality finished technology; Provide technical guidance in the application of advanced photographic and video methods, techniques, and equipment to internal and external stakeholders; Oversee production planning to review and ensure that all project requirements, to include shooting locations, schedules, security requirements, logistical needs, and special photographic requirements with the team are met.

Student Loan -
