Work closely with machine learning teams to implement ML models and LLM-driven features into the product. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to realize features that fulfill user and business objectives. Provide mentorship through code reviews and architectural discussions to promote best practices and engineering excellence. Enhance the reliability, performance, and observability of Slideshare applications using logging, metrics, and monitoring tools. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation processes to boost developer productivity. Optimize performance across frontend and backend systems, addressing challenges associated with high-traffic global users. We Are Looking For:
8+ years of professional software development experience with a strong grasp of full-stack capabilities. Expertise in frontend engineering, including JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, ES6+, CSS, and building user-centric interfaces. Solid backend engineering experience, particularly with Ruby on Rails, REST/GraphQL APIs, data models, and server-side logic. Hands-on experience with AWS, particularly with services like EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, and CloudWatch. Knowledge of observability practices with practical experience using tools like Datadog and Sentry. Proficient in performance optimization across the stack, including frontend rendering and backend efficiency strategies. Aptitude for making informed architectural decisions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Strong ownership, prioritization skills, and keen attention to detail with a history of delivering high-quality work swiftly. Excellent communication skills and comfort working alongside diverse teams in a remote-first context. Your base pay is one part of your total compensation, determined by local labor benchmarks for the specific role and geographic location. In California, the expected salary range is between $146,000 and $228,000. Outside of California in the U.S., the range is between $120,000 and $216,000. In Canada, it is approximately between $152,500 CAD and $194,000 CAD. Additionally, this position is eligible for equity ownership and various benefits.
