Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our Sacramento, California team. This position is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will work closely with warehouse and logistics staff to ensure efficient stock rotation and minimize loss. A strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse operations is essential. Safety is a top priority; you must adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understanding safe lifting requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage complex inventory data. Your role ensures our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between system data and physical counts.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory adjustments and maintain accurate records in the WMS.
  • Monitor inventory levels to identify potential stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and logistics teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory to minimize damage and obsolescence.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards within the inventory storage areas.
  • Train other staff members on proper inventory handling and counting procedures.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs, and work in a warehouse environment.
  • Understanding of safety procedures, including the use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
