Join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California, as a Material Handler! We are looking for energetic and dependable individuals to manage the flow of materials within our busy warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring that materials are moved, organized, and prepared for various stages of the logistics process. You will be operating material handling equipment and performing various physical tasks to support our distribution efforts. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials to optimize space and ensure easy access.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety regulations and guidelines.
- Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform frequent Lifting of materials, with the ability to handle items up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
- Follow all logistics procedures to ensure smooth and timely operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring frequent bending, stooping, and lifting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and using PPE correctly.
