We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics hub in Columbus, Ohio. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other industrial trucks to move materials, load and unload trucks, and transport goods throughout the warehouse. Your proficiency ensures the efficient flow of products within our facility, contributing directly to our logistics operations. You will perform regular checks on equipment to ensure it is in safe working order and maintain a clean and organized work area. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all Safety protocols and regulations is mandatory. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a keen awareness of their surroundings, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with RF scanners and basic inventory management is a plus. We are committed to a safe and productive work environment, and we require all operators to wear appropriate PPE. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forklift operator to join a leading logistics company.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production areas, or loading docks.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and Safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Follow all logistics and warehouse operational guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-approved).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting when necessary for equipment checks.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
