Seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods at our Charlotte, North Carolina facility. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in preparing and processing all outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for ensuring that products are correctly labeled, packaged, and dispatched in accordance with company and carrier requirements. This is a critical position within our logistics chain, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to our customers. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and dedicated to maintaining high Safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping information.
- Package products securely and appropriately for transit, selecting correct packaging materials.
- Apply shipping labels and any required documentation to packages.
- Coordinate with carriers for package pickup and track shipments.
- Operate shipping software and warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure all necessary PPE is used consistently.
- May involve occasional Lifting of packages up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and computer systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Logistics and shipping procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to Safety and attention to detail.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting.
