Our bustling distribution center in Cincinnati, Ohio, is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to manage the movement of goods within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of inventory, from receiving to dispatch. This role requires a keen understanding of warehouse operations, meticulous attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to safety protocols. You will operate various types of forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials, contributing significantly to the smooth functioning of our logistics hub.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping areas.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and location.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates to ensure timely order fulfillment and efficient operations.
- Adhere to safe lifting practices and be able to assist with manual tasks when needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain one.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and awareness of warehouse hazards.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts as needed.
