We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator for our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing inventory, and coordinating the movement of goods. You will be responsible for ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to all safety protocols. A comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics is crucial. We provide all necessary PPE and expect a strong commitment to maintaining a secure working environment. The position may require moderate lifting , up to 40 lbs. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role within our warehouse team and contribute to our overall success. Your responsibilities will include supervising warehouse staff, optimizing workflow, and managing inbound and outbound shipments. We are looking for a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a dedication to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices, operational procedures, and safety standards.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE by all staff.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments, managing our logistics effectively.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and facilities, reporting any issues for prompt resolution.
- Implement and enforce warehouse policies and procedures.
- Handle discrepancies and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Prepare reports on warehouse performance, inventory, and operational costs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics best practices.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting , up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management techniques.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with required PPE and its importance.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
