We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our facility in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process, ensuring accuracy and speed in preparing customer orders. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves and packing them securely for shipment. A meticulous approach to work, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential. As a Picker/Packer, you will be a key contributor to our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. We provide all required PPE and thorough training to ensure you can perform your duties safely and effectively. The job involves regular physical activity, including significant lifting of up to 40 lbs and repetitive motion. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order lists.
- Inspect items for defects or damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify order accuracy against the picking list and shipping documentation.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean packing station and work area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and fulfillment process.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand picking lists and product labels.
- Capacity for regular lifting up to 40 pounds and repetitive movements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and basic logistics concepts.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all safety guidelines.
- Willingness to wear and use required PPE .
- Good time management and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Team player with good communication skills.
