We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse. Your duties will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials. You will operate material handling equipment, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure the overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse. A strong commitment to Safety is paramount, and adherence to all protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. We seek individuals who are hardworking, detail-oriented, and possess excellent teamwork skills. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and stock incoming materials and products.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled, stored, and organized.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any damages, defects, or discrepancies to supervisory staff.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Participate in training sessions related to logistics and Safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and awareness of hazards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
