We are seeking a dynamic and organized Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage our warehouse operations in St. Louis, Missouri. This leadership role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods through our facility. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of warehouse activities, including inventory management, receiving, shipping, and staff supervision. A strong understanding of logistics, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. You will lead by example, ensuring adherence to all company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and fostering a culture of safety and efficiency among the warehouse team. This is a prime opportunity for experienced professionals to make a significant impact in the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Coordinate the scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity goals.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Prepare reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational costs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a supervisory role within logistics.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, as needed.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing business needs.
