Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania team. In this critical role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, a cornerstone of our logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include meticulous record-keeping, conducting regular audits, and developing strategies to minimize stock discrepancies. If you possess strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of inventory management systems, this is an excellent opportunity.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain precise inventory records through the use of warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Perform regular cycle counting and full physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the accuracy of inbound receipts and put-away processes.
  • Manage stock rotation strategies (e.g., FEFO, FIFO) and identify obsolete or slow-moving stock.
  • Collaborate with logistics, operations, and purchasing departments to optimize inventory flow.
  • Ensure all activities comply with safety standards, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Train staff on inventory control best practices and systems.
  • May require occasional lifting of items up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in supply chain or logistics is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Awareness of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills.
  • Must be able to perform tasks involving light lifting.
