Our client is seeking a
Network Administrator
to join their team in Topeka, KS. As a Network Admin, you will manage the company network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. This role is essential to maintaining secure, high-performance connectivity and supporting the company cybersecurity and uptime goals..
Job Title: Network Administrator
Location: Topeka, KS ( Onsite)
Key Responsibilities
:
Configure and maintain Layer 2/3 networking infrastructure
Manage routing, DHCP/DNS, and firewall rules
Coordinate firmware and patching on equipment
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and optimize traffic
Monitor centralized logging systems and coordinate resolution
Support VPN access, secure remote connections, and endpoint segmentation
Document network architecture and maintain configuration baselines
Document and maintain DR protocols
Respond to cybersecurity events related to network behavior
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of network administration experience
Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or Dell networking gear
Knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, and access control
Familiarity with SIEMs, IDS/IPS, and basic incident response
Familiarity with centralized logging software
Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA or Network+ certification.
Public sector or regulated environment experience
Familiarity with NIST or ISO cybersecurity frameworks
Familiarity with ServiceNow
