Specifically, our audio team is dedicated to creating virtual sounds indistinguishable from reality and redefining human hearing, facilitating deeper connections between people. We're looking for enthusiastic interns eager to contribute to groundbreaking research in audio signal processing, machine learning, and audio-visual learning for AR/VR applications. Our internships last 12 to 24 weeks, with various start dates available throughout the year. Responsibilities: Engage in research, design, development, and testing of innovative audio and speech processing algorithms using machine learning and signal processing. Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers and engineers. Design and implement novel algorithms to tackle audio research challenges. Conduct experimental design and execution to evaluate new audio technologies. Work alongside experts in audio and acoustic engineering fields. Effectively communicate your research agenda, progress, and outcomes. Minimum Qualifications: Pursuing or have obtained a PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Acoustics Engineering, or a related STEM field. 3+ years of experience with Python, Matlab, or similar programming languages. 3+ years of experience with machine learning platforms such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. 2+ years of experience in developing computational models in audio or audio-visual domains. Ability to obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in software engineering through internships, work, competitions, or contributing to open-source projects. Strong foundation in statistical modeling techniques or signal processing. Track record of success evidenced by publications at leading computer vision and machine learning conferences. Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team setting. Intention to return to academic studies after the internship concludes.
