Our client is looking for a seasoned quality assurance leader to oversee and advance their enterprise testing efforts across digital platforms that support our insurance and annuity offerings. This role will be instrumental in shaping and executing a modern QA strategy, managing both manual and automation-focused professionals, and ensuring the delivery of robust, reliable, and high-performing software solutions. The perfect candidate will come in, run the team and develop a QA strategy. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership opportunity, ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, collaborative environments and has a deep understanding of quality practices within highly regulated and data-driven industries. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to embed quality into every phase of the development lifecycle, while guiding continuous improvement across QA processes and tools.
Responsibilities:
Set the vision for the QA function, aligning team efforts with organizational priorities and evolving quality standards.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of QA analysts and automation engineers to drive excellence in testing across platforms and technologies.
Design and implement scalable automation frameworks and testing methodologies to support agile software delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is a shared responsibility from early planning through deployment.
Oversee the creation, execution, and maintenance of detailed test strategies, plans, and automated regression suites.
Evaluate and adopt innovative tools and techniques for automation, performance testing, and quality measurement.
Deliver actionable insights through quality metrics and dashboards to help inform business and technical decision-making.
Coordinate system-wide and end-to-end testing initiatives, including data validation, integration testing, and business rule conformance.
Stay ahead of trends in testing technologies and compliance requirements; ensure the team is continuously trained and up to date.
Maintain alignment with industry-specific regulatory and compliance standards throughout QA operations. Qualifications:
Demonstrated success leading QA teams and managing enterprise-level testing strategies. ???????Proven ability to develop a QA strategy from the ground up. Extensive experience in both manual testing and test automation in complex software ecosystems.
Background in industries with strict regulatory controls such as insurance or financial services is highly preferred.
Skilled in modern DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket).
Strong hands-on familiarity with open-source and commercial testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, JMeter, QTest, Tosca).
Deep technical expertise in areas like API testing (REST/XML/JSON), performance/load testing, and cross-platform validation.
Comfortable with test management, automation integration, and quality gate implementation in fast-paced release cycles. Leadership & Interpersonal Attributes:
Proven ability to inspire and scale high-performing, collaborative QA teams.
Excellent communicator, adept at influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with a bias for action; excels at navigating ambiguity and driving results.
Strong prioritization and decision-making skills with attention to both detail and big-picture outcomes.
Committed to fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
