CEDA is seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodian to join our team. Based at our office in Fort McMurray, this position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional facility interior, while also caring for the surrounding grounds, including lawn care and snow removal. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in various weather conditions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of common areas; lunchrooms, washrooms, boardrooms, hallways, offices.
• Wipe surfaces and dust common areas.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Complete minor maintenance tasks as required including, changing light bulbs, or minor repairs to walls and surfaces.
• Maintain stock levels of janitorial and cleaning supplies.
• Operate a variety of tools and equipment to complete tasks such as roads & grounds maintenance, lawn care, and snow removal. 
• Snow clearing; shovel & salt walkways, entryways, and emergency exits.
• Launder garments utilizing commercial laundry machines; coveralls, bibs, parkas etc.
• Refill supplies in common areas; toiletries, paper towel, soaps, sanitizers, booties etc.
• Load dishwashers and put away dishes.
• Clean various appliances; microwaves, ovens, stoves, fridges etc.

Role Specifications

• 1 to 3 years of janitorial or grounds maintenance experience is preferred
• Ability to operate basic landscaping and snow removal equipment safely.
• Ability to multitask and establish priorities and work independently
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to produce a negative result for drug & alcohol test
• Valid class 5 driver's license is required
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
