Environmental Services Operator

Summary

GFL Environmental is looking for Operators to join our growing team in HRM, NS Providing innovative civil, contaminated soils, mobile water treatment, hazardous waste, petroleum, and general labour support to our clients ranging from industrial plants to large construction, consulting/engineering companies and Municipalities throughout Atlantic Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a team environment
• Work can include a wide variety of tasks including Industrial Cleaning, Water Treatment, heavy civil equipment, demolition, waste management, concrete, general construction among others
• Maintain trucks and equipment to provide efficient operation.
• Comply with and follow company safety policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

• Valid Class 5 license is required
• Mechanical inclination
• Confined Space Experience.
• Display flexibility and confidentiality.
• Highly driven, focused and self-motivated.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Overnight Weekday travel in company vehicle up to 50% of the time.
• 10-12 hour shifts
