As the largest integrated forestry business in the UK, and a member of Binderholz, Europes leading timber processing operation, BSW Group is a rapidly developing multi-site business, with operations spanning forestry, sawmilling, timber manufacturing and energy.
Forestry is at the heart of our business, and we are looking for someone to focus on seeking pro?table growth opportunities across forestry operations in England. Working as part of a team, our Forestry Sales Development Managers are integral to our business development aspirations and strategy.
About You:
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, forestry professional, with a passion for forestry, and an aptitude and enthusiasm for developing new business opportunities, building extended networks, developing strong working relationships, and nurturing our existing and prospective client base. Most of all you should thrive on creating opportunity, collaborating with colleagues from other parts of the business, and delivering complex and multi-faceted projects to grow our forestry business.
In addition, you will have:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Forestry/ Countryside Management or closely related land-based sector. Good knowledge and proven working experience of the UK forestry sector including associated grants and funding opportunities. Experience in project management and self-programming. An aptitude and enthusiasm for business and sales development. Strong interpersonal, negotiation and in?uencing skills. Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or another directly relevant professional body is desirable. Full driving licence and a willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays for work purposes.
