Join our growing logistics operation in Washington, D.C., as a Warehouse Associate! This role is fundamental to the smooth and efficient functioning of our distribution center. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including receiving and inspecting incoming goods, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for shipment. We are looking for dedicated, reliable, and safety-conscious individuals to join our team. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be engaged in frequent lifting, standing, and moving throughout the shift. Comprehensive training and all necessary PPE will be provided to ensure a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory.
- Accurately stock products in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick orders based on customer requirements and prepare them for shipping.
- Pack items securely to ensure they arrive in good condition.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with stocktaking.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform all lifting tasks safely, using correct techniques and seeking assistance when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is advantageous.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and be physically active throughout the shift.
