As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to efficiently navigate our warehouse space to retrieve specific items based on order requirements. This involves meticulous attention to detail to ensure the correct products and quantities are selected. We are looking for dedicated and energetic individuals who understand the importance of accuracy and safety in a fast-paced logistics environment. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and regular lifting of items. All necessary PPE will be provided, and comprehensive training on safety protocols and our logistics systems will be conducted. Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve ordered items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning technology.
- Verify product identification and quantity against order specifications.
- Prepare picked items for the next stage of the fulfillment process (packing).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all established safety procedures and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory management tasks, such as stock checks and cycle counts.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, as needed.
- Meet individual and team performance goals for speed and accuracy.
- Execute all tasks involving lifting safely, following ergonomic best practices and utilizing available assistance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is an advantage.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to remain active and on your feet for the duration of the shift.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
