We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk for our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are processed accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities include unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and entering received data into our system. This position is fundamental to our inventory management and logistics operations, requiring meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. You will work closely with vendors, carriers, and internal warehouse staff to maintain smooth inbound operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses good communication skills, and has a solid understanding of warehouse Safety practices. Prior experience in receiving or a similar warehouse role is highly advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming trucks and verify shipment contents.
- Inspect all received goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Compare received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Generate receiving reports and resolve any issues promptly.
