We are hiring a Shipping Clerk in Charlotte, North Carolina, to manage the outbound flow of goods and ensure timely, accurate shipments. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on schedule. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a strong understanding of shipping procedures and documentation. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment, interacting with other team members to streamline the shipping process. Accuracy in processing orders and preparing manifests is key. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare shipping labels, manifests, and bills of lading.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Verify outgoing orders against shipping documents.
- Ensure packages are correctly labeled and secured for transit.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and dock levelers.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and utilize required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs for Shipping tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and hazard awareness.
