We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team in San Diego, California. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, and assisting with receiving and put-away processes. This role is crucial to ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our overall logistics operations. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to identify discrepancies, investigate stock issues, and implement corrective actions. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to workplace safety. Attention to detail is paramount in this role to prevent errors in stock levels, which can impact order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. You will utilize our inventory management system to track stock movements, generate reports, and maintain data integrity. This position offers a great opportunity to grow within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Record and reconcile inventory adjustments.
- Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying quantities and quality.
- Assist with put-away of received goods into designated storage locations.
- Maintain organized and clean inventory storage areas.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Generate inventory reports as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and PPE.
- Support other warehouse functions as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or a similar role preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory management software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
