Are you an experienced Forklift Operator seeking a challenging role in Grand Rapids, Michigan? Our large-scale distribution center is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement of goods efficiently and securely. You will operate various types of forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve inventory, playing a critical role in our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport inventory between different areas of the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and other logistics tasks as needed.
- Ensure the receiving and shipping areas are kept clean and organized.
- Contribute to a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Must wear required PPE at all times and follow all safety guidelines.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and good physical condition.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment and meet deadlines.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
