We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking orders from warehouse shelves and expertly packing them for shipment. This is a critical position that ensures our customers receive their products efficiently and in perfect condition. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of our distribution operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order lists, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Efficiently pack items into appropriate shipping containers, using protective materials as needed.
- Verify order accuracy before sealing packages.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks as required, understanding safe lifting techniques.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any discrepancies or issues encountered during the picking and packing process.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order pick lists.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory management principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and wearing appropriate PPE.
