We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to join our team as Picker/Packers at our Kansas City, Missouri location. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to workplace safety within our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Use RF scanners and other warehouse technology to track inventory and orders.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and assist in maintaining the overall warehouse organization.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, and follow safe lifting practices.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards for picking and packing.
- Communicate any order discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Familiarity with RF scanners is an advantage.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory flow.
- Commitment to following all safety protocols and using required PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
