We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency in inventory management, shipping, and receiving. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth workflow and timely fulfillment of orders.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure accuracy of stock records.
- Oversee the receiving and dispatching of goods, ensuring proper documentation and quality checks.
- Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layouts and organization systems.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Train new warehouse associates on operational procedures and safety guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse environment.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of safety regulations.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
