We're hiring an Order Picker for our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan! As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations by accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse locations to fulfill customer orders. Your responsibilities will include using scanning devices to identify items, collecting them from shelves, and preparing them for the next stage of the fulfillment process. We maintain a strong commitment to Safety, and all associates are required to follow established safety procedures and wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick orders using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves and storage locations.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the designated staging or packing area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual handling equipment.
- Report any stock discrepancies, damages, or Safety concerns to supervisors.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Contribute to achieving daily picking targets and overall logistics efficiency.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable with frequent manual handling and Lifting items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail for ensuring order accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial.
