Job Summary:
We are searching for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our Omaha, Nebraska facility. This critical role ensures the integrity of our stock levels, supporting efficient logistics and preventing discrepancies. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating stock variances, and implementing procedures to improve inventory accuracy. Your efforts will directly impact operational efficiency and cost control within our warehouse. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all Safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position requires a keen analytical mind, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in inventory management software and possess a proactive approach to problem-solving within the logistics framework. You will collaborate with warehouse staff and management to optimize inventory flow and minimize losses. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
  • Manage stock rotation and identify obsolete or slow-moving stock.
  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to reconcile inventory.
  • Report on inventory levels, accuracy, and control metrics.
  • Uphold all Safety standards and ensure compliance with PPE requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new inventory control strategies.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory best practices.
  • Ability to perform accurate counts and detailed record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with Safety regulations and the use of PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with RF scanners and other warehouse technologies.
