We are seeking an enthusiastic Picker/Packer to join our expanding logistics operations in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring customer orders are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment. Your responsibilities will include locating items within the warehouse, carefully packing them, and preparing them for dispatch. A keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment are essential. You will be expected to follow all company procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure operational safety and efficiency. This position offers a great entry point into the dynamic field of warehousing and distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order lists.
- Pack products securely and efficiently, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Verify order contents against shipping documentation for accuracy.
- Label packages appropriately for shipment.
- Operate hand tools and equipment necessary for picking and packing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance productivity and safety.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock management activities.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding order status and potential issues.
- Meet established targets for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a picking or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 45 lbs repeatedly.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety principles.
- Familiarity with PPE and its importance in preventing workplace injuries.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
